Funtertainment Parties received a letter today from GMS(S)!

On closer look, we realised it was a 'Thank you' letter from them thanking us for our services rendered at that meaningful event. No doubt it was a great and enriching experience for us too!

----------------
Last weekend, as usual, we were at Chalk for our Brunch entertainment for the guests at that restaurant.

We even met a group of adults whom got enthusiastic over Facepainting, as it was one of their friend's 25th birthday, which explains this flowery design!

Oh and of course, never forgetting their helpful and cheeky youthful staffs! Check out her mustache!

Catch us at Chalk Restaurant, Mount Sophia Road, 12-2pm every 1st Sunday of the month and do say Hi to us if you see Twistee and Miss Paintbrush there! =)

Our team volunteered our services at a charity event, which was the Chinese New Year Block party on 12th Feb 2011. This is an event which is conducted by Geylang Methodist Secondary School, for the residents residing at that area.

We had Mr MAGIC's Magic show and Twistee's awesome Balloon Sculpting, to the kids' and adults' glee!

We also had a picture taken with Assoc Prof Fatimah Lateef, the Parliament member of Marine Parade GRC, with the GMS(S) Principal, and this same picture is featured on GMS(S) webpage too! =)

To thank us, the principal of Geylang Methodist Secondary School even gave Mr MAGIC a bookmark with a handwritten note, which Mr MAGIC was ABSOLUTELY delighted to receive.

We definitely enjoyed ourselves at such a meaningful event too, and look forward to the many more upcoming opportunities for collaborations!

Today's fundraising event at Chalk restaurant was a really good one! It was for Children at Street 11, which is an organization that offers child minding, education and meals for children whom are on the poverty line so that their parents can work to support the kids. We were involved as part of the service Chalk provided besides catering Food and Beverage and their restaurant! :)

Here are some picturesssss!

During the Fashion show! Spot some of our balloons in the crowd! :)

Eagerly waiting for my next balloon........ ;)

"Hey! I wanna get that Spiderman picture on my arm!"

Hmmm.. Should I get another painting....

HAPPY LITTLE KIDS! :D

Today evening, we were invited by one of our previous clients to be part of the fundraising event of one of the local Primary schools located at the West of SG.

Our balloons were sold at $2 each, and gradually became a sale-area because it became $2 for 2, $2 for 3 and $2 for 4!!

Here are some pics!

"EVERYTHING $2 ONLY!!"

The balloon artists all had fun nevertheless! We had raised funds for the kids' CCAs in their school and we represented the Chinese Orchestra. The teachers even came and shouted "Lelong" for us to convince their students to support our cause! It was really challenging rivalling the kids from the school whom had their own booths too though! :P

But still, we raised.... $169.50! And that was in less than 2 hours! Considering the low price we sold our sculptures at... that was an achievement! And we definitely hope that helped the school CCAs! :)

In fact, after the event, we received a very pleasant thank-you letter from Teacher Ayu!

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for your assistance with our fund raising event. We collected a total of $1232 including generous donations from friends and our student’s parents.

I’m glad you enjoyed yourself and please extend our gratitude to your fellow colleagues.

We have a parent that enquire about your magic show and balloon sculpting for her daughter upcoming first birthday party. I gave her both your contact and email. Her name is Annie and her daughter’s name is Dione. She will be contacting you soon about the pricing.

Do join the Red SchoolHouse page as we will upload the pictures of the funfair http://www.facebook.com/pages/Thomson-Bishan/Red-SchoolHouse/285843629070

2009 Cambodia Project photos are in the facebook too. Have fun viewing.

Just a little suggestion, maybe you can start compiling photos of your face painting artwork and create a catalogue where customers can select the artwork from the album :)

Cheers,
Ayu

Yesterday, 19 June 2010, our Balloonists team had our very first charity involvement at Pat's Schoolhouse, Whitley, and the feedback and response from the kids, parents and teachers was SPLENDID! Our team had fun, and we definitely enjoyed participating in such fund-raising activities whereby we can be socially responsible by contributing to the less fortunate!

In addition, we got a Thankyou letter from the Principal Miss Melina! :) Teehee :)

Hi Michelle

I wish to thank you and your team for the marvellous job you did on Saturday. The children really loved the balloons you sculpted. Although you mentioned earlier that you will only be doing simple sculptures, you surprised me by doing really elaborate ones just to please the children.

It is rare for young people to give up their time on Saturdays to do charity work so I really appreciate your contribution. It made the funfair lively and the children very happy. It also helped make our fundraiser a great success. You will be pleased to know that we raised over $1600 for the I Love Children foundation.

Thank you once again Michelle for your time, effort and generosity. I will highly recommend your services to parents for their children's parties.

Best regards
